Ethnocentric Perspective Inventory© (EPI)

Robust enough for organisations. Thoughtful enough for reflection.

EPI is a scalable self-assessment for exploring ethnocentric perspectives, with automated scoring and a personalised downloadable report. It is designed to help individuals and organisations identify ethnocentric tendencies, increase self-awareness, and support informed conversations around inclusion and cultural diversity.

What it Measures

The EPI assesses attitudes towards cultural differences along a broad continuum. From openness and acceptance to stronger cultural bias and exclusionary beliefs.

Specifically, it explores:

  • implicit and explicit cultural preferences
  • tolerance for cultural difference
  • patterns of stereotyping and judgement
  • openness to intercultural interaction

How the EPI Is Used

The EPI is intended for developmental, educational, and reflective contexts, such as:

  • DEI and inclusion initiatives
  • HR and L&D programmes
  • Individual coaching and self-reflection
  • Cultural awareness and bias training
  • Pre- and post-learning reflection

It is not designed for recruitment, performance management, or disciplinary processes
